Neighborhoods We Serve
Local Housing
Holladay mixes established ranch and two-story homes on large, tree-covered lots with the custom and luxury homes of Olympus Cove against the mountain. Many homes have been renovated or rebuilt on their original lots, so window sizes vary house to house, and mountain-facing glass is a feature owners want to protect rather than cover up.
Climate & Light Considerations
Holladay sits at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, and canyon winds plus high-elevation sun shape what works here. East and south glass takes intense morning and midday sun, and the mountain backdrop means most owners want glare control that keeps the view. Solar and sheer shades filter the light without darkening the room, and cellular shades add insulation for cold canyon nights.
Common Questions About Window Treatments in Holladay
Does Luxe Window Works have a showroom in Holladay?
No. Luxe serves Holladay by appointment with in-home consultations. We bring Hunter Douglas and Alta Window Fashions samples to your home, and measuring and installation are performed locally through Hunter Douglas Installation Services by certified installers.
Who measures and installs window treatments in Holladay?
Measuring and installation are performed through Hunter Douglas Installation Services, the manufacturer's own certified installation service, for both Hunter Douglas and Alta Window Fashions products. Measurements are guaranteed for fit, installation carries a one-year installation guarantee from the service, Hunter Douglas shades carry the Hunter Douglas lifetime warranty, and PowerView carries a five-year warranty.
How do I control glare without losing my view of Mount Olympus?
Sheer shades like Silhouette and solar shades at a lower openness factor are built for exactly this: they diffuse or filter the sun while the mountain stays visible. The right openness depends on the direction the glass faces and the time of day the glare hits, which is why we compare samples in the room itself during the consultation.
